AN ORGANISATION
FOR ENTHUSIASTIC OWNERS OF COVENTRY RILEYS
The Register was formed in June 1954 to keep owners of
Coventry Rileys in touch with each other and to help them maintain their
cars in good order. To this end, special tools are available on loan and
members may borrow manuals and literature from the library. A spares service
is operated by Riley Register Spares Ltd. Local sections are active in
most areas of the country. Informal meetings and other functions are held
as well as an Annual National Rally at Coventry. A high quality Bulletin
is published quarterly, free to members, containing not only details of
past and future events, but also technical and historical articles and
a lively correspondence column. A Newsletter containing "For Sale
and Wanted" advertisements and other news items is circulated eight
times a year. Full membership is open to all owners of Rileys manufactured
prior to December 31st 1940 and associate membership is available to anyone
interested in the marque. Family membership is available to the member's
spouse and children under the age of seventeen. The annual subscription
for membership is renewable on 1st July. A Riley Register member automatically
becomes a member of Riley Register Spares Ltd. In the event of winding
up or liquidation, each member undertakes a liability in the maximum sum
of £1. The Register is managed and administered by a National Committee
in conjunction with other honorary officers. These officials are elected
at the Annual General Meeting.
