Karmann Ghia Owners Club G.B.

The Club was formed in 1982 and caters for all Volkswagen Karmann Ghias as built between 1955 and 1974.

Our main objectives are to promote and further the interests of the three Karmann Ghia models, our Members and, of course, the Club itself.

Operation and administration is through an energetic Committee of ten, plus six Area Secretaries.

We have a Membership of around 600, including Members acros the UK and 17 other countries around the World.

The KGOC (GB) has close links with Karmann Ghia clubs in other countries and we host our own Intemational Meeting each year, to which, last year, we welcomed 75 cars, including those from five countries outside the UK.

Within the UK, the Club participates in Classic Car Shows and VW related Meetings, and those we organise of our own, all on a national basis, whilst Area Secretaries conduct local Meetings in their zones throughout the year.

Each new Member receives a highly usefull and informative New Member Starter Pack. In fact, many enthusiasts join before they own a Karmann Ghia, thereby also benefiting from the freely available advice and other in-house information, as well as from contact with other Members..

All Members receive Karmann Komment, our bi-monthly magazine. Apart from the varied editorial content, this also provides for free advertising of cars and parts for sale and wanted, and an up to date Karmann Ghia and VW Events Calendar.

Other benefits of Membership available include:-
Specialist advice on Spare Parts
Spare Parts Funds, also used to have hard-to-find/obsolete parts re-manufactured
Club Insurance Scheme
A Register of Member's Cars
Technical Advice
Club Regalia and Book Shop
Not least, the active encouragement of camaraderie and a highly sociable atmosphere.

Membership Dues in the UK are currently £15(ukp)per annum, plus £2(ukp)when first joining.

Our Membership Secretary is also always pleased to action any requests for general information or help with other enquiries.
