THE FORD CAPRI ENTHUSIASTS REGISTER
Thankyou you for the interest you have shown in the register.
The register was formed in 1987 to coincide with the end of Capri production.
We are essentially a show register and cater only for the long term committed
Capri enthusiast. As a member of the register we would like you to be prepared
to travel around the country with us to attend classic car shows. For the
cars benefit we have to be selective about the Capris we allow onto the
register as the only motoring events we attend are classic car shows. There
would be no point allowing custom cars to enrol as they would not be able
to attend any of the events.
As a car club we offer a Bi-monthly magazine, an extensive range of spares
contacts, with whom members obviously receive priority, plus a very knowledgable
Technical Advisor.
The club is run by Enthusiasts for Enthusiasts and not for profit, you
are a member, not just a membership number.
BI-MONTHLY MAGAZINE
Comprehensive articles including members features, Technical section, Reproduction
road tests, Show reports from all around the country and abroad plus of
course "For Sales" & "Wanted" Advertisments (Free
of charge to all members).
IN-HOUSE TECHNICAL ADVICE
The club is supported by a very knowledgable Technical Advisor who can
be contacted when all else fails.
The club owes its success to being very selective regarding
the type of person and car it lets in. If you are accepted into the membership
you can enjoy all the benefits a small motoring organisation provides.
Each member is treated as an individual and not just a membership number.
We try to encourage and promote a family type atmosphere where most of
the members know each other.
MEMBERS CONTRIBUTIONS
The magazine is the backbone of the club it is very important for all members
to contribute and sustain the quality and variance of articles that are
published. Don't worry about spellings etc for a small fee we will correct
them before printing.
ATTENDING SHOWS
Whenever possible come along with your car and join in at the many shows
we attend up and down the country. The club also participates in most of
the big indoor shows ie N.E.C, G.MEX etc. Your car does not need to be
concourse to get involved it is just asked that it is clean and tidy on
the day.
