DEMONSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT THE DAY AT THE BRISTOL CLASSIC CAR SHOW
The long running and ever popular Bristol Classic Car Show takes place 17th and 18th February 2007. The show is held at The Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset on Saturday and Sunday. Opening times 10am – 5.00pm both days.
This year the organisers are adding demonstrations which will take place throughout the day on the showering pavilion balcony. This will provide valuable help and instructions to visitors. Featuring basic maintenance on their own vehicles as well as technical restoration methods.
Demonstrations are scheduled to include:-
Replacing the sliding pillar suspension unit on a Morgan
Showing the workings of a brake system
Producing initial master sculptures, making moulds, producing castings
Changing points on a condenser
Preparing body panels
Stripping a gearbox
Changing a head gasket
With demand growing for more club space and autojumble space the organiser’s Nationwide Exhibitions (UK) Ltd have added another hall which holds more club stands and autojumble stalls, making the Bristol Classic Car Show bigger and better than ever before.
A firm favourite with visitors, clubs, trade and autojumble, the Footman James 28th Bristol Classic Car Show is the traditional opener to the Classic Car season.
Founded in 1980 and held for many years in Bristol the show was relocated to the more spacious confines of the Royal Bath & West Showground some 10 years ago. The venue has free car parking and plenty of on-site catering.
The show is sponsored by Footman James Insurance Brokers and supported by Classic Motor Monthly and Autojumbler and Classic Car Weekly.
The whole show is indoors, with over 250 veteran, vintage and classic cars on display, ranging from turn of the century collectibles to modern classics. Over 70 club stands give the show its renowned friendly, hands-on atmosphere.
In addition there is a huge autojumble with over 250 stalls and around 60 trade stands as well as various classic car dealers.
Not only is the show a great day out it also gives an early opportunity to search out parts and services required for restoration projects.
This year’s special feature is by The Morris Minor Owners Club who won last years best club stand award.
There is also a chance to win one of six goody bags at the show with prizes worth over £50.00 per bag.
The admission is £8.50 adults and £7.50 concessions (price to include a showguide) with accompanied children under 16 free of charge. Advance tickets can be purchased at £2 off the door price and party bookings receive 1 free ticket for every 4 paid for.
For further details and advance tickets telephone 0117 907 1000 or visit www.nwe.co.uk for further information.
